David (BSc Software Engineering) is a Senior Standards Compliance Manager and Test Manager at Segala.

David is responsible for managing teams of Web based functional testers and Web accessibility auditors.

Amongst many of his achievements, David is responsible for the ongoing test management of the mobile industry’s largest e-commerce Web site in Europe.

His work includes an active participation on the W3C WAI Evaluation and Reporting Tools (ERT) Working Group and is a significant contributor to the W3C’s first incubator activity initiative (WCL XG) to develop content labelling standards for the Web. David was instrumental in the production of the final report. David is also an active participant in the W3C Semantic Web Education and Outreach (SWEO) special interest group.

David is Segala’s resident XML and RDF expert and has a strong background in other development technologies such as HTML, XHTML, SQL and Python.

When he’s not busy working, David is researching and implementing technologies such as RSS and P3P. His interests include snow boarding, travelling abroad, salsa and pommie bashing.
