A web professional known as a creator and promoter of web standards in two separate areas: mobile and semantics. In recent years Phil has promoted the Semantic Web as a technology to improve online trust and content discovery. Taken together, these disparate strands give him an excellent knowledge of Web standards and the drivers for their creation. Phil joined the W3C as a team member after many years of association through his previous role as Chief Technology Officer at FOSI (ICRA).
