5 things you didn’t know about David
Thanks for the tag Paul!
Well, it’s like this…
- I appeared on stage at glastonbury 2005. Long story short, i got ‘hypnotised’ by one of the performers and ended up being ‘summoned’ on stage to do a cartwheel…
I’ve jumped off of a mountain. Whilst back backing around turkey my mates and i decided to go para gliding so we caught a bus up a mountain only to have to get out and walk the final few hundred meters because there was snow blocking the road. - We then strapped into our gear and jumped off! :-8
- I can’t surf. Yes, thats right, an Australian who doesn’t surf. I’ve never really had any desire to. Though i do body surf whenever i can, used to boogie board and love to go snow boarding as often as possible… So i am not a complete failure. New years resolution = learn to surf
- I was at the fifth day of the fifth ashes test in 2005 when England won back the ashes. Can’t say i was too happy about the result but hey…. we got to give them something to smile about once in a while. Got to say though, it was great to see the crowd so excited and cheering on their team. Shame it was a South African who won the game for them…
- I love to travel when ever i get the chance (which is never enough). So far i’ve made it to the following countries… Italy, France, Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Egypt, America, Canada, Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua, Greece, Noway, Sweeden, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Vietnam, Singapore and of course, Australia. Hopefully i can increase the country count a bit more this year!
Well, i hope that’s been as informative for you as it was time consuming for me.

I think you forgot to mention the engagement? Something we certainly didn’t know you dark horse!
Had to keep that one under wraps until we’d told the parents…
[...] In spite of this fear, I am learning to surf (yes, David, that’s right, an Irish surfer…sorry, blue-with-cold Irish surfer!) Ireland has some of the best beaches in Europe for learning to surf. I’ve surfed in Lahinch, Inchydoney and Dingle. [...]
