5 things you probably didn’t know about Aido
Ok, so the story is…
- I was an instrument of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service with the Leigon of Mary in Holy Trinity Parish, Dublin. Basically, we attended prayer service daily in the local church except on Sundays (We had to go to mass). The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization in the Catholic Church. Has been approved by the last 6 Popes, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council. How did that happen? Well it was cold one night, we saw the light and they served coffee and Mc Vities
- I played on of the leading roles in a Mother Goose pantomime and had to sing with a twang “I’ve got a brand new combine harvester”, funny that now we have Search Thresher!
- I was a member of the Irish Camping and Caravanning club – which means I’ve probably at one stage slept in a field in every county of Ireland. One of my favourite sites was Drumgoff which is an old military barracks in the Wicklow mountains. Surrounded by wilderness it has to be the best play ground of them all, endless forests to explore, quarries, rivers and above all the high rock.
- My best friend is probably my worse enemy, why? He’d know more stuff about me than I’d care to remember. If you read this… it works both ways mate!
- I was once pulled me over for dangerous driving on a BMX coming down the harbour side of Howth Hill. Wish I still had the physical fitness to climb Howth on a bike these days {sigh}
