Donncha O Caoimh.

apple ipods in various coloursI started a viral blog game a couple of weeks ago and it’s now time to announce Donncha from Wordpress as the winner. Congratulations Donncha!

In case you missed the post, I offered other bloggers the opportunity to give one of their readers an iPod, so now Donncha needs to decide on which of his readers gets this beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Donncha, please provide me with shipping details and I’ll have it delivered directly to your winning commentator.

The idea was to see which blog post could attract the highest word count from commentators. It was in fact one of my previous posts about mobile web that inspired me to start the game. The post has amassed more than 17,000 in word count in comments.

I’m please to report that they’re not bogus comments either, they come from well placed people within companies such as Google, .mobi, Opera, MobileAware, WURFL and others. The conversation has actually split into another post recently and the debate is still ongoing!

I wonder if anyone else has attracted such vast comments on their blogs. Could this be a record?
