curry2 logoI’m heading back to the ole emerald Isle for a meeting (ah, just reminded myself to send agenda!) next week and thought it was time to gather some folk for another curry in Dublin. They’ll be sadly mistaken if they expect me to ‘wear’ it again though!

So, if you’re interested in getting together with likeminded (i.e. wacky) people to chat about how to put the world to right, then join me for a curry in one of Dublin’s finest eateries (new Web site on the way). Food and drink is on me, eh, I mean flights are on me, eh. You’ll just have to keep reading to see what I mean.

I’m not going to make this straightforward (do I ever?). Below are the rules of engagement.

I only ask that you pay €25 (trust me, you’ll get much more than what you’re paying for!!).

  • €5 from each person will go into a pot for the waiting staff (service charge).
  • €20 will go into another pot. This is where it gets interesting. Someone will win this pot in order to pay for a trip to OpenCoffee in London.

To help ensure their trip to London village is optimised, I’ll setup meetings with the most appropriate people I can think of (based on their business model and potential partners/clients/interests). We might even get a few bloggers to highlight their trip, thereby promoting them further.

I’m not entirely sure how to choose a winner. I was thinking about getting each person (who’s interested) to explain what their company does to a waiter in 1 minute – thereby encouraging them to get their pitch perfected so that non-industry people would get it. Let me know if you have any ideas.

The game only applies to startups and freelancers, but all are welcome to have a curry fight. Please fill in the form below so we have numbers.

I think the challenge should be to cook something. So the chef picks a dish, gives you the ingredients everyone at the table gets to to taste all the dishes & the best one gets the prize. If it’s better than the chef’s version then you get a job a jaipur.
