Is Facebook deleting accounts?
November 1, 2007 //
[Update at 10:50] Just got a message from Robert Scoble to say that it’s very true. It’s always worth updating a blog post to include a link to ‘the’ Scobleizer. Here’s his blog post.
This morning I picked up on an interesting story about Facebook deleting an account because the user was using a pseudonym.
I picked this up from Don Crowley who wrote
dccrowley kicked out of Facebook - stupid rules! http://tinyurl.com/2cmxra
Whilst I think John Swift (the person who’s account was deactivated) is trying to rally the blogshere by promoting this account as an attack on bloggers, I do think he makes a few valid points. If what he says is correct, how did they confirm that his real name isn’t John Swift if they didn’t even ask him to identify himself?
Do you know of anyone who has had their account deleted?
