Big Brother 4 case studies
SMS services were provided to Channel 4 by O2 in order to provide an exciting user experience for the Big Brother reality TV show. This included SMS News Pull and Push, quiz and voting.
The Segala Team managed all testing on the BB4 project. This included co-ordinating all test activity throughout each phase of testing, acting as the main points of contact for Project Management, providing concise daily reports to all parties and post launch support. A full understanding of the SMS architecture and other critical components was required.
The components tested included Voting for housemates via SMS, receiving News alerts on demand, subscription based news alerts and the quiz application. The team also scoped the performance test phase of the O2 SMS infrastructure in preparation for a predicted 4 million votes in 24 hours.
