Web testing Emap

Emap made a major upgrade to their online magazine sites, with ambitious project to centrally manage and deploy websites with one core CMS. The system comprised on a core CMS (Tridion), and third-parties to provide such services as Registration/Subscription (Tower), InDesign API, Jobs Board (Madgex) and Polls.

Segala’s Involvement

Segala were seconded to provide skilled testers for usability and functional testing. Designing plans and working closely with core project team, and individual magazines such as FHM and Athena. As the core CMS had additional features added, Segala team ensured the releases were only deployed to live after thorough testing to pre-agreed success criteria, involving magazine editors and project managers in the process.

Segala team were instrumental in ensuring compliance with standards and functionality specifications with every feature upgrade. Segala also implemented a SCRUM methodology to core project development, with daily reviews and prioritization on work (which could change day to day).
