About Search Thresher

In a nutshell, Search Thresher is a cool Firefox extension that empowers users to search for Web sites based on trust.

The extension alters search results to highlight sites that claim conformance to a standard or code of conduct using a method called Content Labels. This is only build 0.0.1 so it’s only at concept stage.

In our opinion, relevance must start with Trust and where better to start with Trust than with Trustmarks such as Segala’s for Web accessibility compliance.

So, why not have trusted sites highlighted in search results or better still, filter all the chaff out!

Web sites that have been certified by Segala or one of its partners for accessibility compliance are amongst the first to be highlighted in search results. Users now have the option to filter out Web sites that don’t use a Content Label to make conformance claims.
